The information below represents some of the notable calls for service handled by the Verona Police Department between Friday (9/1) evening and Monday (9/4) morning. This information is not all-inclusive, but rather is preliminary information gathered from officers who investigated the calls.
- 9/2/23 @ 5:27 a.m. – Officers were dispatched to a disturbance. It was reported a 37yo Verona man was intoxicated and had yelled and thrown items. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
- 9/2/23 @ 9:24 p.m. – A 26yo female from Madison was arrested for OWI-1st Offense after she collided with a light pole when leaving a convenience store.
- 9/2/23 @ 10:49 p.m. – The same 37yo Verona man caused another disturbance and was reported to be intoxicated again. He left prior to officers being contacted and could not be located. He will be contacted, interviewed, and likely arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
- 9/3/23 @ 10:15 a.m. – A bag containing marijuana was located at the playground at Fireman’s Park. If you lost this item, give us a call. You’re not getting your weed back, but rather a handful of citations.
