The information below represents some of the notable calls for service handled by the Verona Police Department between Monday (7/10) morning and Friday (7/14) afternoon. This information is not all-inclusive, but rather preliminary information gathered from officers who investigated the calls.
- 7/10/23 @ 8:44 p.m. – Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in a 72yo Verona man being arrested for Disorderly Conduct and OWI-1st Offense. The man was booked into jail.
- 7/11/23 @ 1:10 p.m. – Officers responded to the intersection of CTH M and CTH PB for a Hit-and-Run crash. It was reported a newer model, black, GMC Terrain failed to yield the right-of-way while making a turn, which resulted in one of the involved driver’s making an evasive maneuver. That evasive maneuver inadvertently caused a collision with a third vehicle. Any witnesses or anyone with information on the GMC Terrain is asked to contact Verona PD.
- 7/12/23 @ 7:51 a.m. – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 200 block of S. Jefferson Street. The vehicle was recovered by Madison PD at approximately 5:58 p.m. on Madison’s West Side and was returned to its owners.
