The Verona Area School District (VASD) Board of Education believes EVERY student MUST be successful. VASD has eleven (11) schools in Verona and Fitchburg with more than 800 staff members, in addition to a dozen Pre-K sites. In 2018, U.S. News and World Report ranked Verona Area High School at #10 for best high schools and Niche Rankings placed VASD as #50 for best Districts in Wisconsin. For more than 100 years, Madison Area Technical College has offered educational opportunities to a wide variety of students with varying educational needs. Accredited and well-respected, Madison College offers an education that's real-life ready and real-world smart offering nearly 180 diverse career programs, diplomas and certificates as well as continuing education. In 2017-18, 3,227 people earned degrees from Madison College. Expert, experienced instructors provide top career training. Nearly 98 percent of students are satisfied or very satisfied with the training they receive at Madison College. Established partnerships with the business community helps students with job placement. An impressive 93 percent of graduates find jobs within six months and nearly 96 percent of employers say they are satisfied or very satisfied with the technical college graduates they’ve hired. Madison College’s Business and Industry Services department also serves the training needs of local employers.
