Absentee Voting Methods

 If a voter is unable to vote on Election Day, he or she may vote absentee by mail or may vote an absentee ballot at City Hall during early voting.

Requesting a Ballot by Mail: To request a ballot be mailed to you, please visit the MyVote website (https://myvote.wi.gov) using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Safari as your web browser. You may be required to submit photo identification with your application - please, no selfies.

Please visit the “Bring it to the Ballot” (https://bringit.wi.gov/) web site for information on photo identification.

In-person early/absentee voting for the April 4, 2023 election times at City Hall:
Tues., March 21st: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Wed., March 22nd: 7:30pm - 6:00pm
Thurs., March 23rd: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Fri., March 24th: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Sat., March 25th: 9:00am - 12:00pm--CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER.
Mon., March 27th: 
7:30am - 4:30pm
Tues., March 28th: 
7:30am - 4:30pm
Wed., March 29th: 7:30am - 6:00pm
Thurs., March 30th: 
7:30am - 4:30pm 
Fri., March 31st: 7:30am - 5:00pm


Voters that wish to cast a ballot before Election Day may do so at the City Clerk's Office during the 2-week period before Election Day. Please note, the last day to vote absentee is the Friday before the election. There is no voting the day before the election. 
 



 


Voting Absentee by Mail

 If you would like an absentee ballot sent to you in the mail, you must request this in writing.  You can request an absentee ballot on My Vote Wisconsin, or by sending a written request to the City Clerk by email, mail or fax. Click here for the Absentee Request form

 Each absentee request must include:


  • Your Name
  • Your Verona address where you are registered
  • Mailing address where you would like the ballot sent
  • Copy of your Photo ID (to see acceptable forms of Photo ID, click here).
  • The Election you are requesting the ballot for
  • Signature

 Requests for mailed absentee ballots may not extend longer than the calendar year.  You must be a registered voter in the City of Verona before a ballot will be sent to you. You may not request an absentee ballot on behalf of someone else.  The person who wishes to vote absentee should request the ballot.  For information on registering to vote, visit the Voter Registration page.
 
Voters who are indefinitely confined due to age, illness, infirmity, or disability, may request that a ballot be automatically sent to them for each election.  Indefinitely 
confined voters do not need to provide a photo ID with their absentee ballot request.
