NOTICE: PLANNED POWER OUTAGES IN CITY OF VERONA
Alliant Energy is upgrading the electrical system to improve reliability in the Verona area. These improvements affect 4,500 customers living in the shaded areas of the map on the back of the attached letter between March and May of 2018.
Planned power outage information from Alliant Energy
• Two to three days before a planned electric outage Alliant Energy will call you and provide the outage start date and time, and approximate outage duration. Their goal is to keep planned outages to less than three hours. This will be an automated phone call, please listen to the entire message.
• If Alliant Energy doesn’t have your phone number or aren’t able to make contact, they will put an informational flier on your door one day prior to the planned outage.
• During the outage, Alliant Energy employees may need to access your property to test our equipment. All Alliant Energy employees carry photo ID badges.
Importance of a correct phone number
Alliant Energy will call you with construction updates and planned power outage information. It is important that they have your current phone number. You can verify the phone number they have associated with your account by calling 1-800-255-4268 or viewing in My Account. To access or enroll in My Account, visit alliantenergy.com/myaccount. There will be additional traffic and parked vehicles during this upgrade. Please be aware of your surroundings and drive safe.
