Instructional Soccer


This comprehensive program will concentrate on the skills of dribbling, passing, throw-ins, defensive positioning, and more!  The first few weeks will be basic instruction, while later weeks we will get into specific position related instruction as well as scrimmages. Directing the camp will be current and/or former Verona Soccer players. Don’t miss out on the fun and exciting learning experience this program has to offer.  Enrollment will be based on the grade you are in now.  Will not meet the 4th of July week.  Begins June 26 and runs for 4 weeks.​

Instructional Lacrosse


This “soft stick” program will concentrate on introducing and teaching the game of Lacrosse. Participants will learn the basics of all aspects of the game of Lacrosse. The first few weeks will be basic instruction, while later weeks we will get into specific position related instruction as well as scrimmages. Directing the camp will be Verona Lacrosse players. Don’t miss out on the fun and exciting learning experience this new program has to offer.  Enrollment will be based on the grade you are in now.  Will not meet the 4th of July week.

Instructional Volleyball


Bump, Set, Spike! This all-inclusive program will concentrate on teaching your child the skills of volleyball. The first few weeks will be basic instruction of the game, while later weeks we will get into more specific instruction as well as scrimmages.  Directing the camp will be current and/or former Verona High School Volleyball Players. Don’t miss out on the fun and exciting learning experience this program has to offer.  Enrollment will be based on the grade you are in now.  Will not meet the 4th of July week.  Begins June 25 and runs for 4 weeks.

Instructional Baseball


This all-inclusive program will concentrate on the skills of throwing, hitting, base running, defense, pitching and more!  This comprehensive program will run for 5 weeks. The first few weeks will be basic instruction, while later weeks we will get into specific position related instruction as well as scrimmages.  Directing the camp will be current and/or former Verona Baseball players. Don’t miss out on the fun and exciting learning experience this program has to offer.  Enrollment will be based on the grade you are in now.  Will not meet the 4th of July week.  Begins June 26 and runs for 4 weeks.

Instructional Tennis


Here is your chance to learn more about the game of tennis.  This program is offered to the experienced and the beginner.  Instructional tennis will cover the fundamentals of forehand, backhand, serve, scoring, and the rules. This program will run for 6 weeks. Lessons will be held at the VAHS Tennis Courts.

Beginners: (ages 6-10) Learn the basics of tennis, such as proper grip, strokes, volley, serve and scoring.
Intermediate: (ages 11-15) Work for consistency and knowledge of beginning tennis leading to confidence in playing.
Advanced: (ages 11+) Work to a level of playing competitive tennis through drills/games to develop consistency and further their skills. 

Begins the week of June 18 and runs for 6 weeks.  Min: 5 Max: 15 per session

Instructional Softball

NEW FORMAT! This program is recommended for all girls participating in softball.  Emphasis of this program is skill-based and benefits even the most advanced players.  Players interested in playing competitive softball will benefit from this excellent opportunity to enhance and refine their softball skills all summer! INSTRUCTIONAL SOFTBALL CAMPS 2018
For effective teaching and learning we will try to maintain a 5:1 player to teacher ratio.  Therefore each session will be limited to 30 players.  We will do our best to place players where they will be most successful.
#1 Session Pitching/Catch Camps
This camp is for the Beginner to Intermediate level pitcher/catcher.  Players are divided up in groups based on skill level.  Players will be taught all basic skills that are necessary for a pitcher and catcher to function on the field. Pitching skills will Include but are not limited to; grip, stance, stride, parts of the arm swing, rotation, release, follow through, footwork (step stride, leap stride, drag), etc. Catching skills covered, stance, glove work, blocks, pass balls, etc.
#2 Session Defense Camps
This camp is for grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade and players will be divided based on age groups/skill.  Players will be taught all defensive skills starting at the very basic and building upon that foundation week to week. Skills covered but not limited to are; glove, grip, throwing, fielding, defensive situations, angles, grounders, flies, footwork, varying throws for situations, situations, etc
#3 Session Hitting Camps
This camp is for the Beginner to Intermediate level Hitters.  Players are divided up in groups based on skill level.  Players are taught and will practice the basic fundamentals skills of hitting.  Basic fundamentals covered such as taking a sign, stance, parts of a swing. Other hitting skills covered are bunting, power slapping, lefty slapping, base running, sliding, etc.
#4 Session Pitching/Catch Camps
This camp is for the Intermediate to advanced level pitcher/catcher.  Players are divided up in groups based on skill level.  Players will be taught all basic skills that are necessary for a pitcher and catcher to function on the field. Basic skills will Include but are not limited to; grip, stance, stride, parts of the arm swing, rotation, release, follow through, footwork (step stride, leap stride, drag), etc. Advanced skills will include but are not limited to; working in tandem with catcher, counts, different pitches (such as changes ups) and spins.  Catching skills covered, stance, glove work, blocks, pass balls, pitch calling, etc.
#5 Session Defense Camps
This camp is for grades 4th grade though 8th grade and players will be divided based on age groups.  Players will be taught all defensive skills starting at the very basic and building upon that foundation week to week. Basic skills covered but not limited to are; glove, grip, throwing, fielding, defensive situations, angles, grounders, flies, footwork, varying throws for situations, etc.  Advanced skills covered but not limited to; advanced situations, etc.
#6 Session Hitting Camps
This camp is for the Intermediate to advanced level Hitters.  Players are divided up in groups based on skill level.  Players are taught and will practice the basic fundamentals of hitting.  Other hitting skills covered will hitting, bunting, power slapping, lefty slapping, base running, sliding, etc.
