Community Profile
The city of Verona is a growing, vibrant community located in Dane county, Wisconsin about fifteen minutes from the capitol building in downtown Madison. Verona, whose nickname is "Hometown USA", is known for its high quality of life, business friendly climate, and strong sense of community.

Verona is a center for recreation in the region. It serves as a crossroads for the Military Ridge State Bike Trail and the National Ice Age Trail. Hundreds of acres of parkland are located in and around the city along with Reddan Soccer Park, the Eagle's Nest Ice Arena, and Ceniti Park - a baseball, football, and lacrosse complex on East Verona Avenue.

A Growing Community
Verona is one of the fastest growing cities in the State of Wisconsin. Between 2000 and 2010 the city added 3,567 residents to reach a population of 10,619, an increase of 50.1%. During the same period, the total population of Dane county grew by 61,547 or 14.4%.

The total value of all taxable property is the city is over $1.5 billion. Over the past 5 years, Verona's tax base has grown by an average of 6.5% per year adding $374 million of value to the community.

U.S. Highway 18/151
This major four-lane divided highway loops through the city of Verona and provides quick access to the Madison Beltline Highway, Interstate 39/90/94, and U.S. Highways 12 and 14. USH 18/151 is also the primary route for commerce between the Madison region, the Fox Valley area, and Dubuque, Iowa. The city of Verona has 4 interchanges on this important transportation route.

Interstate 39/90/94
This regional interstate highway connects the Madison region to the Twin Cities, Milwaukee, and Chicago. I-39/90/94 is only located 15 miles from Verona and can be accessed from USH 18.

Dane County Regional Airport
The city of Verona is located only about half an hour from the Dane county Regional Airport. This is a full-service airport served by 5 commercial air carriers with over 100 daily arrivals and departures. Excellent Educational System
The city of Verona is served by the Verona Area School District which has a strong reputation for providing quality education. VASD is the 36th largest of 437 school districts in Wisconsin. It serves a student body of approximately 4,900 students and is comprised of 1 high school, 2 middle schools, 4 elementary schools and 3 charter schools. Verona Area High School has a graduation rate of 95 % and ACT test scores are consistently significantly above the state average.

The Madison region is served by several institutions of higher learning including the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Edgewood College, Herzing College, Lakeland College, Madison Area Technical College, Madison Media Institute, and Upper Iowa University.

Epic Corporate Headquarters
Verona is home to corporate headquarters of Epic Systems. Epic is a world leader in health care software technology. With over 7,000 employees, Epic is the largest private employer in Dane county. Every week, hundreds of customers from around the world travel to Verona to attend training at Epic's 340,000 square foot learning center. The annual user group meeting brings approximately 8,500 people to area.
